$762,600 in Gross Sales at 7H Angus Sale Facility in Wheeler County
On Saturday, October 16, 2021 the Top Notch breeders assembled 121 elite phenotype and genotype females lots plus 15 lots of powerful, high performing two-year-old bulls. 7H Angus sale facility hosted the annual Angus Genetics sale for the 4th year and the results almost doubled from the previous year.
Many local area ranchers and residents attended the sale on Saturday. Parker Friedrich Angus Marketing and Consulting worked along with Auctioneer, Dustin Layton, to run a smooth and successful sale. The gross sales was $762,500 with an average of $6,1000. Sales went to California, Kentucky, Tennesse, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Oklahoma with some of the top Angus Breeders in the country.
Participants and local area ranchers enjoyed a steak dinner and refreshments sponsored by Hi-Pro and the Wheeler General Store on Friday evening. Saturday a Sale Day Lunch was catered by Wheeler’s local Smoking G’s Barbecue which was sponsored by Cross Brand Feed and Alfalfa.
Top Notch Angus Genetics is made up of four families - 7H Angus is Chad and Jack Helton of Wheeler, TX; MJM Angus is Monty Markham and family of Allison, TX, Curtis Schaefer of Clarendon, TX and Zybach Ranch is Steve and Joy Zybach of Briscoe, TX. These four programs represent a history making set of breed influencing females.
